When fall hits, the baking begins! For my second recipe to share on this blog is the super simple gluten free apple crumble. You probably have all of the ingredients on hand already.
You can make it in a large quantity with a large baking dish or use little ramekins like I used.
To start preheat oven to 350 degrees. Then chop up two apples (any variety of apple will do!) and place them in your baking dish(es). I squeeze lemon over them to help speed up apples caramelizing process in the oven.
In a separate bowl start putting together the crumble topping! Throw in a bowl – 1/2 cup of gluten free granola, 1/2 cup of gluten free flour, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of vanilla, 3 TBS of coconut oil, 3 TSB of honey and just a sprinkling of salt. Stir it up! It’ll be crumbly and it will stick together pretty good.
Put the crumble in spoon fulls on the top of the chopped apples. Throw the dish(es) into the oven for 30 mins.
I top mine with dairy free whipped cream but you can do ice cream/dairy free whipped cream. Super simple recipe. Enjoy!
