It’s just a season. Baby, don’t camp out in the valley, it’s just a season.

I have life lessons all over this one. When you’re down and out or at your last few dollars or have to move back in with you parents or your car is broken down and you don’t know when or where a new car is coming from – remember, “Baby, it’s just a season!”

“Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.”

When you’re surrounded by unbelievers at work, at home (or both) and feel completely outnumbered and in over your head. Remember, “baby, it’s just a season!”

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”

Your set-back is just a test. Even if it’s the second, third or fourth time it’s happened and you’re struggle keeps happening, I need you to believe that it’s not your inheritance!

Set your face toward the promise of God on your situation. Don’t bow to the lie that this is who you are. Your identity is outlined in the word of God.
You are a child of God(Gal.3:26), you’re seated in heavenly places(Eph. 2:6), you are the head and not the tail(Deut.28:13), you are blessed when you come and when you go(Deut.28:6), God sings praises over you (Zeph.3:17).

As people who love God, believe in Jesus and have accepted eternal life – our place is on mountain tops, not the Valley! Moses often went up to the mountain and met with God, Elijah met with God on the mountain, Jesus was transformed and met with God the Father on the mountain of transfiguration. We need to go higher to hear Him. Above the noise. Above the lies of the enemy.

We can find ourselves in valley’s as long as we live on this earth but don’t camp out there. You are just passing through. Our inheritance is in heavenly places.

The victory is yours in Jesus’ name. Don’t camp out, don’t stay long, don’t get comfortable, don’t unpack your bags. Matter of fact, plan to be on your feet and back up on the mountain top soon. Repeat after me, “Baby, it’s just a season!”
